Task/Problem Overview

The purpose of this document is to explain how to use Savance Enterprise Pricing Manager tools in order to update pricing for an item or a group of items.

Pricing Manager

To get to the Pricing Manager go to Inventory > Pricing Manager > Pricing Rules Manager

The Pricing Rules Manager will launch.

Using the filters you can search by MFG, all items, UPC, etc. The results will be all item numbers associated with your search criteria.

If you wish to change a pricing profile select the ‘Profile’ tab, next to the ‘Item Pricing’ tab.

Using the Profile Name search field, look for the pricing profile by MFG code.

In my example, I am going to search for all items under the MFG ‘3M’’ NOTE: Any pricing changes will occur to the search results, Meaning that if I want to change all items for a MFG, I will search by that MFG, however, if I just want to change a single item, I will search by that item number only.

Let us say that we need to increase the cost by 1% markup. I will right-click on the cost, click on tools, and then click “Multiplier”.

The multiplier will pop, and you will have the option of adding or subtracting a percentage, let us assume I want to add 1%, so I make sure that the multiplier is set to “ADD”, then type 0.01 in the Value section as shown below. Then select ‘Apply’.

This reflects the below formula

(Cost * Value) + Cost

Translated in our example to (Cost *0.01) + Cost This will multiply the cost by 0.01, and after which add cost. After I click apply, I will notice the changes:

Now let us assume that I would like to make my changes in Dollar Amounts rather than percentages, I will choose “Add/Subtract Dollar Value” as shown below:

I will make sure that the multiplier is set to “ADD”, then I will type the dollar amount in the Value section as shown below:

NOTE: Sometimes you will get the below notification as you are changing prices to a column:

This indicates that one of the cells in the columns is a calculated field inherited from a formula. Now depending on how you want to handle your pricing, if you click “No” it will skip that cell and any other formula driven cells without applying these changes.
